Campaign website to prep industry leaders on new PC-11 engine oil

by Truck News

TORONTO, Ont. – In an effort inform business leaders with their decision making processes ahead of the release of the PC-11 heavy-duty diesel engine oils this December, Petro-Canada Lubricants has launched the ‘Here Comes the Future’ campaign website.

The website is intended to act as a guide to the new PC-11 engine oil specifications, providing details on the history of the oil’s development and latest news and developments.

“PC-11 is the biggest step change that the North American heavy duty market will experience, and we have received many questions about what this will mean for businesses in a practical sense,” said Howard McIntyre, vice-president of lubricants at Suncor. “We have launched the ‘Here Comes the Future’ campaign to provide clarity and help businesses prepare to make informed choices ahead of this December’s deadline.”

Petro-Canada Lubricants said the new oil would deliver significant gains in fuel economy, emissions reduction and engine protection.

“This is not only an opportunity to improve the efficiency and carbon footprint of heavy duty vehicles,” McIntyre continued, “but also a chance to recognize the potential to cut costs and increase the profitability of operations. As with all business decisions, clear understanding and early adoption could result in a genuine competitive edge.”

Petro-Canada Lubricants is a Suncor business and is developing and testing its own next generation PC-11-approved engine oils.
