LACHINE, Que. — The Day & Ross Transportation Group is set to build a $12.5 million facility in the Montreal area.

A joint terminal location, the building would also house Sameday Right-O-Way. Day & Ross’ portion will include 72 doors and 35,147 square-feet of dock area. Sameday Right-O-Way will have 28 doors and 22,500 square-feet of dock area.

The terminal design will be L-shaped to allow truckers of both carriers easy access to the numerous loading docks.

“Volume growth has more than doubled in the last five years at our current Day & Ross terminal in Boucherville,” says Jean Marc Dubois, president of Day & Ross Inc. “We also expect to continue growing — this new terminal will allow us to do so comfortably.”

A 17,000 square-foot, two-story office complex will include a conference room, an employee cafeteria, driver lounge, and showers. Construction on the Fairway Street location is expected to be complete by the end of July.
