PeopleNet gets new trucking head

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — A business reorganization at PeopleNet means there is a new person is charge of its trucking-related business.

The company has split its operations into four unique lines of business: trucking, energy services, video intelligence and channels/OEMs, with each division getting its owner leadership group.

On the trucking side, industry veteran Mark Kessler is has been named the new general manager. He has been with PeopleNet since 2000, and was in charge of sales and business development. In addition, he has served on the board of directors for the Truckload Carriers Association, the advisory board for the National Private Truck Council and several committees for the American Trucking Association.

In his new role at PeopleNet, Kessler will be responsible for overseeing customer service to the company’s 2,500 fleet customers, and for developing new KPI and analytics products and services.

“At PeopleNet, our efforts to create transformative technology solutions that cultivate more efficient fleets and ultimately lead to safer roads for drivers will continue to grow. We see great opportunities in the current marketplace, with adoption of mobile technology at record pace,” said Kessler.
