UK TRUCK MAKER EXPANDS PLANT

SANDBACH, U.K. — United Kingdom truck-maker ERF Ltd. is expanding its manufacturing facility as part of its bid to become into new world markets.

The assembling facility, being added to its production plant in north-western England, cost 28 million Pounds and will cover more than 28 acres. It will employ 750 and is expected to build more than 3,000 heavy trucks a year on a single shift alone.

The U.K. truck maker recently introduced its ECS and ECX models in Europe.
