University of Manitoba to offer insight on province’s transportation industry
WINNIPEG, Man. — The University of Manitoba’s Transport Institute will be offering a morning seminar that will provide an outlook on Manitoba’s transportation industry.
The seminar will be held Oct. 8 from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Hotel Fort Garry. Topics to be discussed include: the value of the Canadian dollar; the cost of fuel; and the shortage of transportation and logistics workers.
“These forces are shaping trade and transportation flows on a global scale and presenting supply chain managers with challenges and opportunities,” the Transport Institute says.
The group says the interactive session will be vital for Manitoba business leaders, policy-makers and regulators. Breakfast will be served. There’s no cost, but advanced registration is required. To sign up, visit www.umti.ca/conferences.
