OTA opens registration for 2026 leadership development programs
The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) has opened registration for its 2026 Next Generation Certificate Program and the OTA-Schulich ExecEd Leaders Certificate Program, aimed at developing future leaders in Ontario’s trucking industry.
Now in its 12th year, the Next Generation Certificate Program is delivered in partnership with The Humphrey Group and focuses on leadership communication, confidence building, and peer networking. The three-part program begins in June 2026 and is open to OTA members in good standing. The registration fee is $2,175.
Since its launch, nearly 500 participants from companies across Canada have completed the program.
“OTA’s Next Generation programs empower organizations to build critical bench strength by developing adaptable, forward-thinking leaders ready to meet the evolving demands of the trucking industry,” said Mitch Thibert, director of operations at Contrans Flatbed Group and OTA LEAD co-chairman.
The OTA-Schulich ExecEd Leaders Certificate Program, developed with the Schulich School of Business at York University, builds on the Next Generation curriculum. The four-day course focuses on strategic leadership and innovation, with participants presenting their insights at OTA’s annual executive conference.
The ExecEd program begins in May 2026 and is open to graduates of the Next Generation program. The registration fee is $2,550.
OTA said both programs are delivered in small cohorts to encourage collaboration and peer engagement, with space limited.
