Paschall employee ownership group IPS announces leadership transition
Interstate Personnel Services (IPS), which runs a family of employee-owned trucking companies, has announced CEO Dave Gibbs will retire Feb. 1 after eight years at the helm.
He’ll be replaced by James Langley, who brings 35 years of experience in leading large truckload carriers. IPS runs trucking firms including Paschall Truck Lines, Paschall Logistics, Paschall Trailer Leasing, Transport Distribution Company, IPS Leasing and J&R Schugel.

The company announced the leadership transition on LinkedIn.
“Dave served the employee-owners of IPS for the past eight years with his people-first beliefs. During those eight years, Dave has been successful in strengthening the company’s financial position and increasing the value of its ESOP (employee share ownership plan),” the post said.
“He was adamant about investing back into the company’s roots by building a new corporate headquarters in the same town (Murray, Ky.) where the company was founded in 1937. During his tenure, the company expanded its operational footprint with three acquisitions. Those acquisitions nearly doubled the size of the company and positioned it for long term service and growth.”
He was also credited with investing in a new terminal in Laredo, Texas to boost its cross-border activities. He will remain on as chairman of the board. IPS became employee-owned in 2013 and its businesses provide one-way, dedicated, regional, longhaul, logistics, refrigerated and equipment leasing services in the United States and Mexico.
