The Saskatchewan Trucking Association (STA) has honored Reg Quiring with the STA Omnitracs Service to Industry Award.

The award recognizes leaders who have made exceptional contributions to the trucking industry in Saskatchewan. It awarded to individuals who have spent decades in the industry and assisted in propelling Saskatchewan’s trucking industry forward, according to a STA release.

Starting Q-Line in 1994 with his brother Russ, Quiring transformed the company from a modest two-truck operation into a leading transportation provider across North America. Q-Line grew to employ over 500 individuals and became a link in sectors such as agriculture, construction, and public infrastructure.

A core tenet of Quiring’s success is his “drivers first” mindset, focusing on driver well-being and industry professionalism. Through efforts like implementing electronic logs and in-cab safety cameras, he has prioritized safe and efficient practices that protect drivers and improve the overall operation.

Quiring has served as a board member, former STA president, and is actively involved with the Canadian Trucking Alliance. Q-Line supports various causes, reflecting Reg’s belief in using business success to benefit the community.

Quiring and his wife, Charlene, have contributed personally to initiatives like the Friendship Inn, local food banks, and the Sisterhood organization, which empowers women across Saskatchewan.
