Turk Enterprises to acquire Horizon International Distributors

Temperature-controlled freight hauler Turk Enterprises will acquire Winnipeg-based Horizon International Distributors, provider of refrigerated transportation, on July 1.

Following the acquisition, Horizon will be integrated into Turk Enterprises and all Horizon employees will join the Turk team, with operations transitioning to Turk’s head office in St. Andrews, Man., according to a news release.

“Bringing this operation into the Turk Enterprises family is a decision rooted in shared values and a mutual commitment to the people we serve,” Dave Tyrchniewicz, president of Turk Enterprises, said.

The acquisition adds additional fleet and service capacity to Turk Enterprises, the release added.
