Cummins rolls out new Meritor brake pad, recognizes top Euclid brand ambassadors
Cummins introduced a new Meritor air disc brake pad that it says is compatible with 70% of the Class 8 truck and trailer market, in both linehaul and severe-service applications.
The MFLEX4 pad fits the following air disc brake caliper models: the Bendix ADB22X, Hendrickson MAXX22T, Wabco MAXXUS, and Wabco PAN22.

The pad was deigned to simplify inventory, requiring fewer SKUs to streamline ordering and stocking. Two friction mixes are available to cover both linehaul and severe-service applications.
All-in-one installation kits are available with or without retention bars.
“The MFLEX4 is a technician-friendly solution that directly addresses common challenges, such as fitment complexity, parts proliferation and service efficiency,” said Jason Soika, North American aftermarket general manager – Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems. “By combining Meritor’s OE expertise with aftermarket insights, we’re empowering parts dealers and distributors to streamline their operations and helping fleets maximize uptime with a high-quality, cost-effective product.”
The pad was introduced earlier this week at a press conference during Heavy-Duty Aftermarket Week in Grapevine, Texas. It began taking orders at the show.

In other news, Cummins announced the first winners if its new Euclid Ambassador program, designed to recognize partners who embrace and support the Euclid brand. They’re recognized for initiatives such as purchase incentives, pricing promotion activation and storefront displays.
Three regional finalists were announced at HDAW: Action Truck Parts (East Region); Betts Truck Parts & Service (West Region); and Parts for Trucks (Canada). Parts for Trucks was named overall winner.
Lastly, Cummins announced it is stepping up its regional training activities this year, aiming for a 25% increase over last year’s training programs that saw more than 1,000 technicians take part in the Canada and the United States.
