Wrapping up the industry

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Although advertising on billboards has been around for decades, truck-side advertising is securing its place in the market and becoming a common sight for travellers.

Online Designs, a division of Toronto Digital Imaging, is helping the transportation industry take this idea by storm with their ability to create and install images onto trucks and trailers in as little time as possible.

The company specializes in transportation graphics and covers an average of 10 trailers a day with a daily record of 22.

Kathy Cartan, one of the company’s account executives, says the printing process has revolutionized the signing industry.

“Before you had to wait for a trailer to dry to paint it. Now with printing, you can output a trailer in mere hours,” she says.

Depending on the quantity of trailers being done, the average price ranges from $5,000 to $7,000 for full color imaging .

Online Designs is located in Mississauga and also has an installation facility in Montreal.
