Bootcamp gives women a glimpse of trucking industry

About 50 women interested in exploring careers in the trucking industry attended a transportation bootcamp in Toronto.

Speakers from companies including GFL Environmental, Environmental 360 Solutions, The Erb Group, Challenger Motor Freight and Musket Transport shared their personal journeys and benefits of having more women in trucking.

The women-only event organized by Toronto Business Development Centre highlighted pathways and programs tailored for women in the transportation industry.

Attendees were also given the opportunity to try out truck and forklift simulators, offering a virtual experience of driving a heavy vehicle.
