A truck driver’s stop to buy snacks resulted in a $100,000 lottery win.

Robert Dawson of Toronto matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the April 22 Lotto Max draw, according to a news release.

Dawson has been an occasional lottery player for nearly a year.

“I went to the store to buy some snacks, and when I was leaving, I decided to pick up this ticket as well,” Dawson said. “A few days after the draw, I checked my ticket using the OLG app on my phone. When the prize amount appeared on the screen, I was shocked! It was a surreal moment.”

He shared the news with his coworkers and friends. “They were happy for me and congratulated me,” he said. “Being a winner feels great!”

Dawson plans to save his winnings for a rainy day.
