Trucking Announcements: leadership appointments at KAG Canada, TRALA

This week, Anthony Babic was named KAG Canada’s vice president of revenue and Kayleigh Hall joined the Truck Renting and Leasing Association as director of government relations. Meanwhile, Southeastern Freight Lines has promoted Seth Whitener to service center manager at its Little Rock, Ark., facility.

KAG Canada promotes Babic to vice president of revenue

KAG Canada has promoted Anthony Babic to vice president of revenue. In the new role, he will oversee the company’s pricing and revenue strategies.

Babic joined KAG Canada in April 2021 as an accounting manager and became director of revenue in April 2022. In that role, he was involved in developing pricing models and ensuring competitive values for the company’s customers.

Prior to joining KAG Canada, Babic held senior roles in finance within the transportation industry. He brings experience in in product hauling and contract structuring to the table.

“Anthony has demonstrated a combination of analytical expertise and a leadership style that his team has very much enjoyed. He has built strong relationships based on trust and collaboration across KAG Canada and with our valued customers,” KAG Canada said in a news release. “In addition to his professional achievements, Anthony recently embraced the challenge of earning an MBA while working full-time. This academic experience has further enhanced his ability to drive innovation and strategic thinking within our revenue operations.”

TRALA hires Hall as director of government relations

The Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) announced it has hired Kayleigh Hall as director of government relations, effective Jan. 1.

Hall has more than 10 years of experience in state policy and advocacy. She most recently served as chief of staff to a member of the Virginia General Assembly’s House of Delegates, where she managed all legislative, budget, and daily operational priorities.

Before that, Hall worked as assistant vice president of state government affairs and counsel at McGuireWoods Consulting and McGuireWoods, advising clients on multi-state legislative strategy, regulatory compliance, and communications strategies.

“TRALA is thrilled to welcome Kayleigh to TRALA. We wanted to hire someone with experience handling multiple state matters,” said TRALA president and CEO Jake Jacoby. “Kayleigh’s state legislative acumen, along with her desire to branch out into federal issues, made her an obvious choice to advocate for our membership.”

Southeastern Freight Lines names service center manager in Little Rock

Southeastern Freight Lines has promoted Seth Whitener to service center manager at its Little Rock, Ark., facility.

Whitener began his career with the company at its service center in Louisville, Ky., where he worked as an outbound and inbound supervisor. He later held several leadership roles in Nashville, Tenn., including inbound, pickup and delivery supervisor, and outbound operations manager.

Most recently, Whitener served as assistant service center manager in Little Rock.

“Over the course of his career with our company, Seth has demonstrated an exceptional ability to lead, advance Southeastern’s culture and serve customers at the highest level,” said Patrick Trahan, regional vice president of operations at Southeastern Freight Lines, in a news release.
