Zelek joins DataDis as sales manager for Ontario, Western Canada
DataDis has welcomed Michael Zelek as sales manager for Ontario and Western Canada.
Zelek brings nearly 15 years of transportation industry experience to the role, having worked in logistics, dispatch, recruiting, and human resources, the company said in a news release.
He played a role in driver recruitment and retention, earning the National Recruiter of the Year award at the National Recruiting and Retention Symposium in 2021.
Prior to joining DataDis, he worked for Wellington Motor Freight for more than six years, starting as the director of operations and, most recently, vice-president of human resources. Under his leadership, Wellington was recognized as one of the Best Fleets to Drive For for six consecutive years, the release said.
Zelek’s other experience includes retention and recruitment manager at Charger Logistics, and a tenure of almost five years with Caravan Group of Companies. He joined as a logistics coordinator and worked his way up to national recruitment and retention manager in 2017.
In addition to his industry expertise, Zelek has been an active speaker at transportation events and has served on several industry-related committees.
