Commercial Truck Repair celebrates opening of new Cornwall location, Traction store
Commercial Truck Repair has moved into a new state-of-the-art facility in Cornwall, Ont., where it offers truck and trailer repairs as well as sales of Autocar trucks and a range of trailer brands.
The company moved in Nov. 15, 2023 but celebrated the opening this summer. Local guests, vendors and politicians were invited to the grand opening of the new 14-bay, air-conditioned shop.

The site is also home to a new 8,000 sq.-ft. Traction parts shop.
“No expense was spared for tooling,” said Fred Woods, business development manager with the company. “Raymond Desormeaux, general manager, believes for our technicians to bring our customers maximum value, they need to be supported by not only a great parts department, but they also need to be comfortable. This means our 14-bay garage is fully air-conditioned and has in-floor heating for the winter months.”

The company currently has a workforce of 39 people at the new facility and represents JC Trailers, Gincor Werx, BeauRoc, Gatormade Trailers, Tailift forklifts, Starke electric lifts while also servicing Hino trucks, Cummins engines and Allison transmissions.
“Our campus is ready to support not only the local transport and transient customer base, but our sales team has had success in other provinces from New Brunswick to Alberta,” said Woods.
