Datatruck has rolled out a major update to its TruckGPT platform, positioning the AI-powered tool as a core component of its transportation management system.

The company says TruckGPT is designed to eliminate manual data entry by extracting and populating information from rate confirmations, bills of lading and proofs of delivery in seconds. The latest update introduces a redesigned interface that highlights matched data fields and flags discrepancies before they reach accounting or factoring.

“The freight market doesn’t slow down for manual work,” Datatruck CEO and co-founder Shah Rahmanov said. “The carriers that win in this environment are the ones who’ve removed the friction from their operations.”

Datatruck said the tool sits within a broader AI-driven ecosystem embedded in its platform, rather than layered onto legacy software.

Additional features include an AI dispatcher that scans multiple load boards and can automatically book freight, an AI updater that manages broker and driver communications, and analytics tools that provide real-time insight into fleet performance and profitability.

The company says carriers using the platform have reported booking freight up to 40% faster, while reducing routine communication time by as much as 70%.

Chief AI officer and co-founder Ulugbek Ergashev said the focus is on automating repetitive tasks while improving decision-making.

“If it’s repetitive, automate it. If it requires judgment, surface the right data to make that judgment faster and smarter,” he said.

The update comes as the global TMS market continues shifting toward AI-native platforms, with Datatruck arguing many competitors still rely on legacy systems with add-on AI features.
