Enercs automates landing gear deployment

by Today's Trucking

Enercs has launched its eDrive-Phi, an electric drive tool that automates landing gear raising and lowering at the push of a button.

The tool was developed and built in Canada, and uses a three-phase brushless permanent magnet motor as well as a sensorless inverter, the company announced.

A modular design facilitates the maintenance and parts replacement. eDrive-Phi is designed to fit all landing gears types, Enercs reports. It allows attachment of the hand-crank in case the electric drive is not operational, ensuring drivers are not stranded.

The eDrive-Phi supports both 12V and 24V trailer systems, and has an adjustable speed.
