Geotab enhances its maintenance center
Geotab has introduced work order management and fault code enrichment within its Geotab Maintenance Center, providing fleets with new tools to streamline maintenance, predict vehicle failures, and control rising operational costs. Announced at the Geotab Connect 2025 conference in Orlando, Fla., these additions aim to help fleets move from reactive to predictive maintenance by integrating data insights and diagnostics, the company said in a news release.
The new work order management tool allows fleets to consolidate maintenance scheduling, tracking, and reporting into a centralized hub within MyGeotab. The system replaces manual record-keeping and disconnected apps with a more automated and structured workflow, the company claims. Fleet managers can convert maintenance requests into work orders, monitor active repairs, and analyze maintenance costs and downtime metrics. By leveraging predictive analytics, fleets can also identify vehicles at risk of failure and schedule service before costly issues arise.

Fault code enrichment, powered by Noregon, enhances fault data analysis by providing actionable insights into fault severity, recommended actions, and potential component impact. The system helps fleet managers prioritize repairs based on risk levels, preventing costly failures and unnecessary workshop visits. Standardized fault insights across multiple vehicle manufacturers provide a unified view of maintenance needs.
