Konik Heavy Duty Products has introduced Konik Simple Step, a galvanized steel trailer step designed to provide safer, more stable access for operators.

The company said the step delivers a secure foothold through a raised oval tread pattern intended to improve grip in wet, muddy, or icy conditions. It was developed with truck body builders, trailer service centres and end users in mind.

Simple Step is currently offered in two sizes — 11.5 inches (29.2 cm) and 15.5 inches (39.3 cm) — with a 23.5-inch version planned. Installation requires two drilled holes in the side rail or rear bolster, allowing the step to be mounted in a variety of trailer locations.

Konik said the galvanized steel construction is designed to support long-term durability in harsh operating environments while maintaining consistent traction.

“The Simple Step is exactly what our customers asked for — a safe, effective step that installs in a variety of locations with minimal effort and delivers dependable grip,” said Thom Davis, product line manager at Konik Heavy Duty Products. “It’s simple, it’s effective, and it makes trailers safer to use every day.”
