Kraft Tank unveils Omni thermoplastic tank trailer
Kraft Tank, supplier of heavy-duty tank transport trailers, introduced its Omni thermoplastic tank trailer. Kraft Tank, working in collaboration with Omni Tanker, an Australian company, launched the armored thermoplastic tank in North America.
The patented technology features a tank within a tank system that combines durability and corrosion resistance to reduce costs and maximize trailer efficiency, according to a release.
The system consists of two layers, structurally bonded. The inside of the tank has a seamless thermoplastic corrosion barrier with no welds or joints. The outside is constructed with a high-strength and lightweight carbon fiber reinforced polymer structure.
The new thermoplastic tank trailer is equipped with SAF CBX Aerobeam air ride suspension systems. The suspension system features Swing-Align, for quick, easy axle re-alignment. The axle brake technology includes Haldex disc brakes and brake actuators with the ConMet lightweight, aluminum PSP7 wheel hub. ConMet’s PreSet Plus system secures the wheels, improves wheel end clamp load, makes installation and hub removal easier, and enhances safety.
