Mitchell 1 has rolled out key enhancements to its Manager SE Truck Edition that expand its Job View feature, allowing commercial vehicle service providers to build unlimited sub-estimates and improve repair planning, quoting, and communication.

The update removes the previous nine sub-estimate limit, enabling shops to create and manage an unlimited number of job revisions per vehicle, each displayed in separate tabs. This structure supports better prioritization of work and streamlines the process of securing customer approvals, the company said in a news release.

“We’ve taken Job View to the next level in Manager SE Truck Edition,” said Tim McDonnell, senior product marketing manager for Manager SE, in a news release. “The new capabilities are designed to address real-world challenges at commercial vehicle service locations. They will help providers streamline the process so work can be started to get the vehicle back in service as soon as possible.”

Shops can now automatically name each sub-estimate based on its contents – such as “Brake Inspection” or “Cooling System Flush” – to make navigating repair orders easier. A new Summary tab consolidates all Sub-Estimates, while a secure comment space allows advisors to track internal notes without showing them to customers.

Job View also offers deeper integration with service Recommendations. Technicians can add or link Recommendations directly from the Revisions screen, and use a “Delete Linked Recommendations” function to remove completed items when converting Sub-Estimates to Repair Orders. A new Modified Date column shows when each Sub-Estimate was last updated, helping shops confirm pricing and labor rates are current.

“By enhancing Job View’s capabilities, Manager SE Truck Edition empowers service advisors to deliver clearer communication and improve overall management of complex repair estimates,” McDonnell said.

Mitchell 1 claims these improvements will enhance customer-facing documents and operational workflows while helping shops track profitability at the job level.
