New supplemental nighttime safety lighting system for semi-truck trailers

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Invention Submission Corporation announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Banning, Calif., has designed a semi-truck trailer lighting system that would give truck drivers a better view of the curb and trailer wheels when cornering at night.

The trailer safety lighting system would help drivers view the exact location of the curb and trailer wheels at night while turning. This light would not affect other drivers’ vision while it is in use. Producible for OEM and aftermarket installation, the system is designed to work with many types of trailers such as agricultural and livestock trailers, and recreational vehicles.

The inventor, a truck driver, often encounters the dangers of making turns in the dark without knowing exactly where his trailer wheels are. This safety concern led him to develop this sytem.

The original design was submitted to the San Diego office of Invention Submission Corporation. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
