FERGUS, Ont. — The Fergus Truck Show will be presenting the USA Pulling Xtreme Power Pulling Series at its 21st annual event July 22-23.

“When we decided to improve the quality of the Truck Pulls at the Show, I never expected to go to this ‘Xtreme’,” said Wayne Billings, president of the Fergus Truck Show. “The caliber of these trucks and tractors are far greater than anything we’ve had at previous shows.”

The Fergus Truck Show is currently negotiating the rental of an additional 20 acres of land adjacent to the truck show home to accommodate the pulling series. In addition, plans are under way to relocate the pull track and to improve the spectator viewing.

“With the proposed track relocation and the grandstand seating the fans will be in total awe,” Billings said.

“It is great to have the USA Pulling Xtreme Power Pulling Series pulling on Canadian soil,” said Kurt Johnson, USA Pulling, operations director. “I can’t think of a better venue to start our Canadian expansion than at the Fergus Truck Show.”

The series will feature diesel pick-ups, CNYTPA mod 4×4’s, 2-wheel drive “funny trucks,” top eliminator tractors, the super modified tractor, super semi’s and super stock farm tractors

In addition to the Xtreme Series, Fergus Truck Show will again present the Ontario Mini Rods and the Local Non Sanctioned Pulls featuring the 4×4’s (under 6,000 lb. local, over 6,000 lb., the single engine modified tractor and tandem tractors).

USA Pulling, formerly ATPA (American Tractor Pullers Association), has a fan following of over 2.3 million, plus a large following on ESPN 2 and the Outdoor Channel with an estimated audience of 20 million households.
