Shurco has introduced SMARTrailer electric systems, a configurable approach to trailer automation that allows customers to select electric tarp systems, hopper door openers, wireless controls and accessories based on their equipment and workflow.

The platform uses a guided four-step selection process designed to match trailer configurations and operating preferences, the company said. All components operate on a unified wireless platform.

Customers first select an electric roll tarp system. Options include the Shur-Lok E-Series, a fully pre-assembled setup designed for faster installation, and the 4500 HD heavy-duty system featuring real-time position feedback through two-way remote communication.

The second step involves choosing an electric hopper door opener with sealed wiring, flexible mounting and manual backup. The AutoTrap offers a lightweight design with higher ground clearance, while the ProTrap features heavy-duty construction, multiple torque options and automatic mid-stop capabilities.

Wireless control choices range from the compact EZR remote to the PRO remote with two-way communication and a color display. The ShurLink App allows users to adjust torque, customize settings and configure system functions from a mobile device. Available electric accessories include the DriveMaxx Auger hopper drive and LiteALL LED work lights.
