TELESCOPIC VEHICLE LIFT

Stertil-Koni’s new Diamond Lift

Stertil-Koni says its new Diamond Lift is a state-of-the-art, high-pressure telescopic piston lift designed to set new standards in precision heavy-duty lifting performance, ease of use, and environmental containment.

Made in the company’s Illinois factory, it will be available in either a two- or three-piston configuration with a total lifting capacity of 64,000 and 96,000 lb respectively. Notably, the design of its telescopic pistons protects all the critical seals from potential damage by debris. The piston rods are hard-chrome-plated for maximum protection against corrosion and wear, and thus optimized to handle harsh workshop environments, the company says.

The new lift is certified to ANSI/ALI ALCTV current edition by ETL/Intertek.

The Diamond Lift also features an “industry changing” mechanical locking system that uses a hardened, nitro-carburized locking rod to provide what is claimed to be superior resistance to corrosion and wear. It’s also said to be one of the few piston-style in-ground lifts designed to allow the lift to be lowered into a mechanically locked situation without placing pressure on the piston seals. The gravity-engaged locking assembly is easy to service and can be accessed from floor level.

Among other features, rather than using traditional rollers that may need lubrication, the new lift’s moveable lifting unit and aluminum trench covering system travel on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene slides atop a stainless steel guide, which are maintenance free.

Intuitive controls, says Stertil-Koni, make operation easy, and ultrasonic sensors provide real-time synchronization for ultimate safety. Plus, all power units and control components are located in the above ground console for easy troubleshooting and maintenance.

From an environmental standpoint, the Diamond Lift uses biodegradable oil and the upper portion of the steel containment is hot-galvanized, which provides corrosion resistance at floor level and ensures proper interlock with the foundation. In addition, the containments are coated internally and externally with DiamondGuard, which not only safeguards against corrosion and electrolysis, it also prohibits hazardous shop fluids from entering the environment.

The new lift is said to be suited to a broad range of vehicle lifting, including fire and rescue vehicles as well as multiple-axle trucks. As standard, it’s supplied with a full set of lifting adapters to match all fleets. It can also be equipped with a detachable wired remote control.
