Trimble integrates Road Call with Freightliner Service Tracker
Trimble and Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) integrated Trimble Road Call, a vehicle breakdown module within Trimble TMT Fleet Maintenance, with Freightliner Service Tracker.
The integration aims to reduce downtime and improve efficiency in fleet maintenance operations, the companies said in a joint news release, citing industry averages indicating that 2.5% to 5% of a fleet is in the shop for repairs daily, with repair and maintenance costs rising by 3.1% last year.
The integration offers a single user interface, allowing fleet maintenance managers and Daimler technicians to synchronize repair orders, track status updates, and gain instant visibility into service progress.
Repair status notifications, from maintenance start to vehicle pickup, are automatically updated in the system. The platform also generates repair orders for unplanned service visits.
“By collaborating with DTNA, Trimble is not just streamlining maintenance and repair information for DTNA’s TMT-based customers, but they are redefining how they operate,” said Paul Romanaggi, chief customer experience (CX officer) and general manager of service and warranty, Daimler Truck North America, in a news release. “Connecting Trimble’s TMT Fleet Maintenance with our Service Tracker product not only simplifies how we communicate about repairs — it allows us to maximize uptime and ensure our fleets run smoothly, benefiting drivers and customers alike.”
Trimble Road Call with Freightliner Service Tracker is available for Daimler customers enrolled in Service Tracker using Trimble TMT Fleet Maintenance version 2023.2.3.817 and higher and for all Trimble TMT Fleet Maintenance customers using this TMT version. The system, built on Trimble Transportation Cloud, supports both on-premise and SaaS customers and is also compatible with other third-party maintenance solutions.
