Trinetra Guard’s automated landing gear targets trailer protection, driver safety

Trinetra Guard, powered by ELD Mandate has introduced the EM6000Auto, an automated landing-gear system designed to eliminate the physical strain and injury risk tied to manual cranking while adding a built-in security lock.

The electric actuator replaces the traditional crank and allows drivers to raise or lower the landing gear with a button press, reducing repetitive shoulder and back strain and helping prevent errors during trailer positioning, according to a news release.

Automated operation and a driver-friendly design are intended to speed hookups and drop-offs and improve uptime by keeping drivers healthy.

Security features include a 4G electronic lock that prevents unauthorized use by disabling the landing-gear mechanism unless a driver or dispatcher authenticates through a mobile app, keypad code, RFID card, Bluetooth, or back-office dashboard. Fleet managers can control access remotely, giving them centralized oversight of trailer movements.

When a tractor disconnects, the system automatically locks to immobilize the trailer and deter unauthorized hook-ups. Additional safeguards include a hidden lock mechanism, tamper detection, G-sensor alerts for unsafe ground conditions, and a rugged installation that cannot be removed without heavy-duty tools. Trinetra Guard is currently taking pre-orders, with delivery expected in six months.
