Volvo Trucks North America is partnering with Geotab to integrate an electronic logging device (ELD) into Volvo trucks.

It will offer a tool to monitor hours of service, records of duty status (RODS), and driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs). No other hardware will be required.

Geotab Drive utlizes a cloud-based system to ensure data is reliably captured and delivered, complies with U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, and works with Android and iOS platforms, the OEM says.

The MyGeotab portal will offer an interface that fleet managers can use to view detailed reports on driver logs, violation alerts, and running reports on fleet status.
