At Maxim’s Charity BBQ held on May 29, 2013 in Winnipeg, over 600 participants helped raise of $16,500 for Charity. The record attendance also resulted in a record for funds raised in a single event.

“This year’s large selection of raffle prizes really helped us attract more people and raise more funds for charity,” says Steve Young, VP of Parts at Maxim Truck & Trailer and chief organizer of this year’s event. “We owe a great deal of thanks to our vendors and suppliers for their generous support,” he goes on to say.

All funds raised during this year’s event will go to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation through their “Challenge for Life” campaign. Maxim’s seven Challenge for Life team members have now exceeded their goal by raising over $48,000 for this year’s campaign. The Challenge for Life campaign culminates in a 20 km walk on June 8, 2013.

While a live band played, the 600 participants that included friends, customers and suppliers were treated to an old fashioned BBQ.
