Orange EV unveils third-generation electric terminal tractor

Orange EV’s new e-Triever battery-electric terminal truck represents the third generation of its electric models that have collectively accumulated five million miles and 1.5 million hours since 2015.

The 400 trucks the company has produced have been deployed by more than 130 fleets across Canada and the U.S.

The e-Triever’s digital truck systems (DTS) is designed to integrate with autonomous controls and features improved sensing, remote diagnostic capabilities, and an optional IntelliBoom package that measures fifth wheel load weight and boom lift cycles, and senses kingpins.

The underlying spec’s for the Model Year 2022 4×2 e-Triever match those of its predecessor, the 4×2 T-Series.

With a gross combined weight rating of 81,000 lb. it has a top speed of up to 25 mph (40 km/h), a 180 or 100 kWh battery capacity, charge rate of up to 70 kW, and it can run up to 24 hours on a single charge.
