Zonar’s SightIQ delivers IQ for construction aggregate fleets

Zonar is bringing real-time analytics to construction aggregate operators with the SightIQ system, promising to increase efficiencies in pits and quarries by delivering consolidated views of equipment regardless of make, model, year or manufacturer.

SightIQ data can help identify issues such as unnecessary idle time, inefficient fuel use, or poorly optimized maintenance, the company says, adding that just a 58-second increase in cycle times can cost quarry fleets more than $180,000 in lost productivity per day.

The system also meets the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEMP) 2.0 telematics standard, pulling asset data from major yellow-iron manufacturers into a single view that can be accessed through Zonar Ground Traffic Control.

Initial offerings include SightIQ Predict, which collects diagnostic information and OEM data into a single data stream, providing predictive and preventive maintenance details. SightIQ Optimize combines previously captured production data with telematics and OEM data streams from all fleet assets.
