Illinois police nab two Ontario men with cocaine worth US$40 million in truck
Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested two men from Ontario after a trooper discovered suspected cocaine worth more than US$40 million in their tractor-trailer.
On Nov. 29 at 2:10 p.m., a trooper conducted a commercial motor vehicle inspection on a truck on Interstate 80 in Henry County, according to a news release.
ISP said the trooper observed “numerous indicators of criminal activity.” A subsequent search revealed suspected cocaine weighing 1,146 lb. (520 kg), with an approximate street value of more than US$40 million.

Police arrested Vanshpreet Singh, 27 and Manpreet Singh, 36, and charged them with multiple drug offences.
“ISP’s coordinated focus on trafficking is helping keep dangerous drugs out of our communities,” Brendan F. Kelly, ISP director said in the release.
The men were taken into custody and transported to the Henry County jail pending a pre-trial release hearing. The charges have not yet been proven in court.

I disagree with deportation. They should be put in prison labor camp if born in Canada or from another country. Skin color or religion should make no difference.. deportation with million $ to a low cost country is a reward and cause certain crimes to increase in my opinion. Drugs are much worse than guns in my opinion.

They were arrested in the United States! When convicted they face life in prison in the USA! Keep them there!

Well said that is what needs to happen
Were they employees of a trucking company or a broker, or owner/operators ? Be nice to see that info included in story.
Good job state troopers. If these guys are found guilty, they should be deported immediately. It seems like there’s more and more of these new Canadians getting into the drug trade in the trucking industry time to lay the law down. Then maybe they would think twice of doing that if we start deporting them back to their country. Thank you.
