Samsara touts Canadian growth, initiatives
Samsara says it has taken steps to deepen its investment in Canada, storing data locally, fulfilling orders domestically and growing its market presence in the country.
This comes as the telematics company announced 15% of its Q3 new annual contract value comes from international markets.

Some of the challenges involved in Canada include remote connectivity in the north and strict data residency laws. The company says it has taken a local approach to addressing such challenges.
“Our momentum in Canada is driven by a commitment to solving the specific, complex challenges our customers face every day,” said Liz Klein, director, Samsara, Canada. “By investing in homegrown infrastructure — from local data residency to domestic logistics — we are ensuring that Canadian organizations never have to choose between regulatory compliance and cutting-edge innovation. We are building a permanent ecosystem here that allows our customers to operate with total confidence within their own borders.”
Samsara cited the recent launch of its dedicated Canada data center, which allows it to compete for work with public sector organizations and Crown corporations, as well as other highly regulated sectors.
It previously announced a deal with Ottawa Logistics to sidestep cross-border trade issues and fulfill Canadian orders from within Canada. Samsara has partnered with Element Fleet Management so Canadian customers can access a unified system to address full lifecycle needs.
Its satellite connectivity offering helps keep fleets connected when and where cellular networks are unavailable. And the company says it has launched a series of scholarships and training programs to attract new talent to the industry.
