5 Reasons Why Today’s Trucking Rules

LOUISVILLE — Today’s Trucking magazine produces some of the best trucking journalism in North America and we have the hardware to prove it.

Last week, the Truck Writers of North America (TWNA) presented the magazine with no less than five journalistic awards.

Founding Editor and now Vice President Editorial Rolf Lockwood was cited twice. Lockwood earned a Silver Award for a feature he wrote called “Tighter is Not Better.” It was about lug nuts.

Lockwood also scored a Gold Award for his editorial titled “Help Stamp Out Sloshed Driving.”

Editor Peter Carter claimed a Silver Award for a driver profile he penned entitled “The Man With Two Hats,” as well as a Gold for his monthly last-page column, “Rear View.”

Finally, Today’s Trucking’s Associate Editor Jason Rhyno came away with a Gold for a feature called “Wind Chill Factors,” detailing the measurable affect of colder temperatures on your fuel mileage.

TWNA holds the annual awards ceremony at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville.

Now in its ninth year, the competition recognizes excellence in trucking industry journalism in both the trade and mainstream press, as well as excellence in communication by public relations professionals.
