Bendix manager tapped for promotion

ELYRIA, Ohio — Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems has promoted John Allgaier to director of corporate accounts, where he will assist OE and aftermarket account managers foster strategic customer relationships.

In his new role with the commercial vehicle safety and braking system technologies company, Allgaier will manage the US-based national accounts sales team.

Prior to his promotion, Allgaier was a national accounts manager for Bendix, managing and growing customers such as VIPAR, Truck Pride and FleetPride.

Since he began his career with Bendix in 1983, Allgaier has held many sales roles, including territory manager in San Antonio and account executive for heavy-duty products in Houston.

Allgaier, who is a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds ASE brake certification, was honored by Bendix in 2006 with an induction into The Presidents Club, honoring top Bendix account managers. He achieved the recognition by earning the largest year-over-year growth based on dollars, for national accounts.

In 2005, Allgaier was a recipient of the Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake Aftermarket Growth Award. He received this honor for his contribution to the incremental sales growth experienced within the organizations private-label reline brake shoe programs.
