Canuck named TCA vice chairman
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Truckload Carriers Association of Alexandria, Va. has elected its new officers for 2007-2008, including a prominent Canadian trucking official.
Ray Haight, representing Guelph, Ont.-based MacKinnon Transport, was named First Vice Chairman of the TCA.
Haight is well known in Ontario trucking circles as an advocate of safety and driver recruitment and retention issues.
Jim O’Neal, president of O & S Transportation in Springfield, Mo., was elected the 2007-2008 chairman. Founded in 1981 as a transportation broker, O & S became employee-owned almost 20 years later.
