Dog learns new trick, crashes truck

by Today's Trucking Staff

MANKATO, MINN — You may not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but it appears a labrador was able to teach himself how to drive a truck. Just not that well.

Minnesota’s Mankato Free Press reported Friday that a dog managed to put an idling tractor into motion, sending it through the Wilson Trailer Sales parking lot, over a curb, into a tree, and finally into a car parked near a Kwik Trip’s fuel island. When a passerby jumped into the truck to stop it, the dog was discovered in the driver’s seat.

“It’s unclear whether the truck’s owner, or the dog, will be in the doghouse over the incident,” the newspaper reported.
