First annual Northern Border Highway Carrier Conference announced

BUFFALO, N.Y. — U.S. border officials will be holding a one-day C-TPAT conference for carriers and shippers on August 19, 2009 in Buffalo, N.Y.

There is no registration fee but space is limited to approximately 500 people.

Supply Chain Security Specialists and the Directors of the Buffalo, NY; Washington, DC; C-TPAT Field Offices will be available to answer questions and provide comment on C-TPAT program issues.

This conference will differ from the annual C-TPAT Symposium in that it will be geared specifically towards the Northern border highway carrier community and the issues, concerns it faces such as FAST, sealing, ACE/E-manifest, highway carrier minimum-security criteria, validation and revalidation of a highway carrier, PIP/C-TPAT activities and more.

Registration will be conducted online. Attendees will be selected on a first come first serve basis and on the companies C-TPAT membership status.
