International appoints Leger SVP, chief procurement officer
International has appointed Sebastian Leger senior vice president and chief procurement officer, effective April 1.
Leger will lead the company’s global procurement organization and report to president and CEO Mathias Carlbaum. He will oversee procurement strategy, supplier partnerships and alignment with the Traton Group.
“Sebastian’s extensive procurement leadership experience across the commercial vehicle industry – and his proven track record in cost optimization, supplier quality and strategic transformation – will help further strengthen International’s global procurement capabilities,” Carlbaum said in a news release.
“His leadership comes at a crucial time as we optimize our delivery of quality solutions to our customers.”
Leger brings more than 20 years of experience in automotive procurement and supply management. Before joining International, he served as senior vice president of strategy and procurement excellence at Man Truck & Bus SE, where he led strategic procurement initiatives and group‑wide excellence programs.
Leger started his career at Daimler AG, where he worked in interior purchasing, and later held several procurement leadership roles at Man Truck & Bus.
“I am honored to join International and contribute to the company’s transformation,” Leger said in a news release. “I look forward to working closely with our teams and suppliers across the globe to continue building a high-performing, collaborative procurement organization that drives value for our customers.”
