International expands Diamond SPEC program
CHICAGO (May 9, 2001) — International Truck & Engine Co. has expanded its Diamond SPEC Solutions application-based specÕing program.
International 1000, 2000, 4000, 5000i, 7000, 8000, and 9000i Series heavy-, medium-, and severe-service trucks are available now as Diamond SPEC Solutions, the company said.
Diamond SPEC Solutions allows customers to choose from a set of pre-packaged specs optimized for their specific vocation. Customers also receive emergency breakdown service, optional support packages like replacement vehicles and parts availability guarantee, and expanded warranty support:
Medium-duty International 1000, 4300, 4400, 4700 and 4900: two-year/unlimited mileage; severe-service International 4900 6×4, 7300, and 7400, two-year/unlimited mileage; severe-service International 4900 6×6, 7500 and 2000 MRD, one-year/unlimited mileage, severe-service International 2000 HDD and 5000i, one-year/50,000 miles/1800 hours; heavy-duty International 8100, 8500, and 9000i, two-year/200,000 miles.
The new International 4000, 7000 and 8000 Series, introduced in February, will be available with Diamond SPEC Solutions as they reach full production, the company said.
The International 4000 Series is currently in full production, with the International 8500 truck to follow in October and the International 7000 Series in December.
