Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada (ICTC) has received approval from Transport Canada to sell its 2025 NRR-EV model, a zero-emission vehicle that qualifies for a $75,000 incentive under the Incentives for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicles program.

The NRR-EV, manufactured in Charlotte, Mich., will come with four battery configurations — 60 kWh, 100 kWh, 140 kWh, and 180 kWh — offering options to meet diverse range requirements.

“The NRR-EV’s approval by the Canadian authorities really opens the door for customers to experience a great EV product,” says Shaun Skinner, president of ICTC, in a news release.

“The additional [provincial] incentives will help with their purchasing and our warranty will give them the peace of mind they are accustomed to with Isuzu trucks.”

Isuzu says it aims to lower ownership costs with its warranty, which includes a basic three-year/unlimited kilometer limited warranty, extending to five years with unlimited kms for those opting for the Isuzu360 platform.

Battery coverage ranges from three years or 93,000 km (60 kWh) to eight years or 394,000 km (180 kWh with Isuzu360). EV powertrain components are covered for three years or 80,000 km, or up to eight years or 209,000 km with Isuzu360.
