BayNets says its patented new open-pit safety system will reduce the hazards of open pits without the hassle of posts and chains.
The specially treated, petroleum-resistant nylon web glides over an open pit in about a minute from either end of the bay, and is designed to catch and cradle a person falling into a floor opening. Just in case, the BayNets system has a tensile strength of over three tonnes once installed. The company also says the system can be easily adapted to virtually any bay design, since it can be welded at any level in your bay.
