Schneider names Filter next president, CEO

Schneider National announced that Jim Filter will take over as the company’s president and chief executive officer this summer.

The appointment is a part of a planned leadership transition. Mark Rourke, who has been Schneider’s president and CEO since 2019, will move into the role of executive chairman of the board effective July 1, 2026.

Filter, who is currently an executive vice president and group president of transportation and logistics, will take over and join the company’s board of directors following his transition.

Filter, 54, has spent more than 27 years with Schneider. Since 2022, he has overseen all operating segments in his current role, with responsibilities that include improving service quality and operational efficiency. Over his career, he has led multiple business units, including logistics and supply chain management, Mexico operations and intermodal. He previously served as senior vice president and general manager of intermodal, as well as chief commercial officer.
