Thermo King unveils new reefer unit

4/24/02 — Designed exclusively for fresh product applications on small trucks and vans, Thermo King’s new C-290 truck refrigeration unit is the simplest to use, install and maintain, the company says.
Featuring a set point fixed at 35 degrees F and an in-cab control with an on/off switch and digital LED thermometer and because it contains the most basic circuit with indispensable electric controls, the C-290 is extremely simple to operate and maintain, the company says.
The C-290 also comes standard equipped with an Ultra Slim seven-inch evaporator for maximum cargo loading, and includes automatic defrost, constant air circulation, and cooling capacity of over 9500 Btu/h at 100 degrees F ambient.
