ORLANDO, Fla. — TMW Systems has launched its TMT ServiceCenter software, designed to support service centres that perform both contracted outsourced fleet management services, as well as retail maintenance and repair services.

Key benefits of the new software include the capacity to electronically invoice customers, provide preventive maintenance notice and tracking, and make service reservations and review or approve estimates online, according to Scott Vanselous, senior vice-president and general manager for TMW’s Asset Maintenance division.

“Our customers are able to fully track key performance indicators which are part and parcel to successful business operations,” he said. “Managing your business to these critical measurements is crucial. Customers that have already implemented key features of TMT ServiceCenter, see it as a platform for growth.”

The software helps to automatically track mechanic productivity, schedule shop operations to match capacity with demand, and to manage parts inventory tightly with included purchasing controls, says TMW. The software also generates customer invoices based on a technician’s electronic input of parts, labour and services activities.

TMT ServiceCenter has been designed to bring added value to the fleet management and maintenance market by shortening the order-to-cash cycle increasing mechanic productivity; reducing administrative expense; automating warranty claim opportunities; optimizing parts inventory; and key business performance matrics

“I’m convinced that any service centre looking for top-flight sales transaction and cash drawer support, parts and inventory management coupled with all of the technology required to increase customer service and shop efficiency and ultimately the bottom line TMT ServiceCenter is worthy of full exploration,” TMW’s Vanselous added.

In other news: TMW Systems has also announced that it is offering the first commercial software integration to bring customers the benefit of TransCore’s 3sixty Connexion with full access to TransCore’s DAT network of truck loads and carriers.

The new, real-time Connexion interface capability was developed for fast-paced logistics operations using TMWSuite software, which is designed to eliminate the need to enter loads and trucks twice, with an interface for 3sixty freight match batch-oriented load and truck posting and search service. TMW Systems says it is the first third-party commercial software provider to bring the advanced 3sixty Connexion integration to its customers. The company also states that TransCore’s Connexion is the only Web-services interface to a large freight matching marketplace, and provides unique capabilities to support better, more effective integration with transportation management software.
