The Today’s Trucking video team, joined by trucking industry journalist Jim Park, recently paid a visit to the Mack Customer Center in Allentown, PA. The primary purpose of our trip was to test drive some new Mack technology: Specifically their Twin Y and mRide suspensions and their mDrive automated manual transmission.  We’re in the process of editing those videos, but they’ll be added to the site soon.

While we were there, we spent a few minutes with 41 year Mack veteran and current Marketing Product Manager, Jerry Warmkessel, and a few hours exploring the museum, showroom and test track.

The second video in the player is just a fun, fast-paced music video we threw together using footage we shot of the museum’s vintage Mack steel. Some people have told us they found it too fast and too funky; that it didn’t showcase the trucks enough. So we’ll be putting together another version that has a more leisurely pace.
