Transport International Pool Changes Name
DEVON, Pa. (Aug. 27, 2004) — Trailer Lessor Transport International Pool Inc. (TIP), announced it will be known as the Trailer Fleet Services division of General Electric.
An affiliate of General Electric Co.’s equipment services division, TIP will continue to be used for the company’s rental & leasing offering.
The company said it wants its brand to reflect recent expanded service offerings beyond trailer and leasing.
TIP rents, leases, sells, remarkets over-the-road and intermodal trailers. The company also offers mobile maintenance and vehicle protection plan services. TIP has more than 125,000 units through more than 100 branches in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
