Trimac buys New Brunswick chip hauler

CALGARY (Feb. 1, 2000) — Bulk hauling giant Trimac Transportation said it has reached an agreement to buy the transportation business and the assets of V.A. Ross Trucking Ltd., of Boiestown, N.B.

Operating 18 tractors and 37 trailers from a single terminal in Boiestown, V.A. Ross hauls woodchips and other related forestry products throughout Quebec, the Maritimes, and the Northeastern U.S. Annual revenues for 1999 were approximately $3.7 million.
