Trucking Announcements: Vice-president appointments at Andy Transport, 7Gen

This week, Andy Transport’s Daniel Moga transitioned from company’s vice-president of business development and warehousing into the role of vice-president of strategic partnerships, while 7Gen welcomed John Lindsey as vice-president of commercial operations. Motiv Electric Trucks has appointed James Griffin as its new chief revenue officer.
Meanwhile, the Fleet Safety Council recognized regional and provincial drivers and safety professionals of the year, and TransPro Freight Systems received an award from the Milton, Ont., Chamber of Commerce.
Andy appoints Moga as vice-president of strategic partnerships
Andy Transport has announced that Daniel Moga, who has served as the company’s vice-president of business development and warehousing for more than six years, will take on the new role of vice-president of strategic partnerships.
In this position, Moga will lead efforts to expand collaborative opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and build new strategic alliances that will enhance the company’s market presence.
“I am confident that Moga will bring the right partners to the table while continuing to nurture the key relationships he has built throughout his tenure as vice-president of business development,” Andreea Crisan, Andy’s president and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
Moga has a long career in transportation, spanning more than 20 years. Prior to joining Quebec-based Andy, he held different roles at various companies, including Transport LFL, Transport Robert Intermodal, and VA Transport.
7Gen names Lindsey as vice-president of commercial operations
7Gen has appointed John Lindsey as vice-president of commercial operations, bringing more than two decades of experience from Schneider Electric, where he specialized in IT, commercial strategy, sales, and operations.
He has been with Schneider Electric since 2004. Lindsey started as a commercial sales manager and held various positions throughout his tenure, from the director of the business partner team to the head of electric vehicle infrastructure business solution sales for North America and senior director of commercial e-mobility.
Lindsey’s background also includes early experience as an electrical contractor and small business owner, making him well-suited to support 7Gen’s efforts to scale fleet electrification, the company said in a LinkedIn post.
Motiv Electric Trucks names Griffin as chief revenue officer
Motiv Electric Trucks has appointed James Griffin as its new chief revenue officer (CRO) to accelerate sales of its medium-duty electric trucks and buses across North America. He takes over the CRO role from Motiv’s founder, Jim Castelaz, who will return to his position as chief technology officer.
Griffin brings nearly 30 years of experience in sales and business development, with a focus on commercial trucking, fleet logistics, fleet management, and EV charging infrastructure.
He joins Motiv from ChargePoint, where he led fleet electrification sales across North America. Griffin managed a team of nearly 60, overseeing sales, business development, marketing, government relations, and customer retention for National Fleet Sales, OEM partnerships, and transit and eBus sales.
Before ChargePoint, Griffin was vice-president of business development at MHC Kenworth, overseeing national sales, leasing, and truck maintenance programs. He also worked as a national account sales executive at Paccar.
Earlier in his career, Griffin spent a decade at Ryder Transportation, where he held various roles in account management and sales. As the national sales manager for maintenance and full-service leases, he worked with leading brands like Walmart, Cardinal Logistics, Coca-Cola, and Firestone.
Milton Chamber of Commerce recognizes TransPro
TransPro Freight Systems, based in Milton, Ont., was honored with the Milton Chamber of Commerce’s Large Business of the Year award.
“These awards, presented in partnership with RBC, celebrate the people and businesses in our thriving community, and we were proud to stand with them,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.
FSC honors professional drivers, safety professionals
Fleet Safety Council (FSC) recognized Ontario regional drivers and safety professionals from each of its chapters during its annual conference in Brampton, Ont., on Oct. 25.
The drivers were recognized for demonstrating excellence both on and off the road. Meanwhile, safety professionals were honored for their contributions to uplifting safety standards in the trucking industry.
Ontario regional drivers of the year are:

- Jean Pierre Michel, Dove Creek Motor Express — FSC Southern Chapter
